MBBR biofilm carrier is a new bioactive carrier as a house for attached growth bacteria in MBBR process, which uses scientific formula and according to the different nature of sewage in polymer materials to adding a variety of beneficial microorganisms quickly attach and grow the trace elements, through special modifying and structuring process. MBBR biofilm carrier with advantages of good hydrophilicity , high biological activity, quick film formation, easy to multiply, difficult falling off, large specific surface area and high biomass, appropriate specific gravity and good fluidization effect, high oxygen utilization efficiency and long service life, to ensure the effective operation of the MBBR process.



Product Features

1. Use virgin HDPE as the raw material with additive of special formula including UV and hydrophilic genes, FDA food grade. Geometric configuration based on hydrodynamics to strengthen the surface adhesive ability. it is polymer material, having high shock resistance.

2. Large specific surface area, many adhesive biologia. It not only provides the room for heterotrophic bacteria growing but also create the condition for autotrophic bacteria growing. Meanwhile, it is beneficial for the biologia to denitrification and dephosphorization.

3. Anaerobic tank. No need of bracket, easy to fluidify, save energy consumption. The suitable specific weight makes the filler in suspended fluidization state, reducing the eneray consumption and increasing the shock and cutting of bubbles. In the same condition, the aeration amount can be lowered by above 10%.

MBBR Process Principle

The MBBR biofilm carriers for the growth and attachment of microorganisms are directly put into the MBBR system. The wastewater go through the suspended carriers in MBBR reactor, microorganisms attach themselves to submerged moving biofilm carrier, forming a biofilm. Air is transferred into the water, mixing the media and water and providing oxygen to the bacteria. The biofilm absorbs, oxidizes and reduces organic and inorganic material thus providing treatment. The carriers can move freely in the reactor with the mixing of the water; for the aerobic reactor, the aeration will make the media move; for the anaerobic reactor, mechanic mixing will make the media move.


MBBR Process Applications

1. MBBR Aerobic Aeration

In aerobic aeration, the media is fully agitated and mixed with water; meanwhile the air is segmented into small bubbles, which increases the contact area between biological membrane and oxygen, it also could increases the efficiency of oxygen transfer


2. MBBR Anaerobic Condition

Under anaerobic conditions, water flow and media be fully agitated by agitator, in order to let the biofilm and the pollutants are fully exposed, and achieve the purpose of biological decomposition.
