How to clean the screw press sludge dewatering machine efficiently
Jun 21, 2025
To achieve efficient cleaning of the screw press sludge dewatering machine, it is necessary to start by formulating a scientific cleaning process, selecting appropriate cleaning methods, and strengthening daily maintenance.
1. Formulate a cleaning plan
Establish a standardized cleaning system, perform routine cleaning after the end of daily operation, and remove residual sludge on the surface and inside of the equipment; carry out deep cleaning once a week and comprehensive system cleaning once a month to ensure that all parts of the equipment are effectively cleaned.
2. Conventional cleaning method
After daily shutdown, immediately turn on the high-pressure water gun to flush the equipment filter, spiral shaft, inner wall of the casing, and other parts. The water pressure is controlled at 8-10MPa, and the water flow angle is maintained at 45° with the cleaning surface. Flush gradually from the feed end to the discharge end of the equipment to thoroughly remove the sludge attached to the surface. The flushing time is not less than 20 minutes.
3. Deep chemical cleaning
Choose a suitable chemical cleaning agent for deep cleaning every week. For organic sludge residue, use 2%-3% sodium hydroxide solution, soak for 30-40 minutes, and then rinse with a high-pressure water gun; for inorganic dirt, use 1.5%-2.5% hydrochloric acid solution, soak for 20-30 minutes and then rinse. Pay attention to protective measures during cleaning to avoid chemical corrosion of equipment and harm to operators.

4. Cleaning of key parts
The filter is the key part of cleaning. Ultrasonic cleaning can be used. After the filter is disassembled, it is placed in an ultrasonic cleaning tank, and a special cleaning agent is added. Clean for 30-45 minutes to effectively remove the fine sludge particles in the filter seam. The grooves and blade edges of the spiral shaft are prone to sludge accumulation. They need to be carefully scrubbed with a brush and a cleaning agent to ensure that there is no residue.
5. Cleaning effect inspection
After each cleaning, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the equipment. Observe whether the filter is transparent and blocked; check whether the surface of the spiral shaft is smooth and free of sludge; check whether the inside of the casing is clean. If it is found that the cleaning is not thorough, re-clean it in time.
6. Establish a cleaning file
Record the time, method, cleaning agent used, and cleaning effect of each cleaning. By analyzing these data, summarize the cleaning experience, continuously optimize the cleaning plan, and improve the cleaning efficiency and effect.
