BioCell K3 Mbbr Bio Filter Media is used in aerobic biological fluidized bed process, using three-dimensional hollow structure as aerobic biological carrier, and the filler is suspended in water during normal operation. Anaerobic bacteria grow inside the filler to produce denitrification to remove nitrogen; aerobic bacteria grow outside to remove organic matter, and nitrification and denitrification exist in the entire treatment process. The K3 MBBR biological filter media technology has the characteristics of high volume load, so the MBBR process can effectively reduce the pool volume.

Main Features

The main characteristic of Moving Bed Biological Reactor (MBBR) configurations is that there is no sludge recycle from a secondary clarifier. MBBR is essentially a simple, once- through process, where all of the biological activity takes place on the biomass carriers.

* The biological formation time is 3~15 days, and the fast is only 2 days. No need to culture bacteria beforehand.

* Special surface treatment: larger and rougher inner surface, enhanced microcell adhesion and rapid biofilm formation

* Good hydrophilicity - adding hydrophilic groups to improve biofilm formation and biomass

* The surface charge modification of our K3 Mbbr bio filter media is suitable for the growth of most microorganisms.
