How to install a containerized wastewater treatment plant

Mar 22, 2025

Here are the general steps for installing a containerized wastewater treatment plant:

1. Site preparation

Choose a flat, solid ground and make sure that the ground can bear the weight of the containerized wastewater treatment plant. Generally speaking, the bearing capacity of the ground should not be less than the requirements of the equipment manufacturer, and usually needs to reach a bearing capacity of several tons per square meter.

Make sure that the site has a good drainage system to prevent rainwater accumulation from damaging the equipment. At the same time, the access channels of the equipment should be taken into account to ensure that the transport vehicles and installation equipment can reach the site smoothly.

2. Foundation construction

According to the size and weight of the equipment, pour the concrete foundation. The size and strength of the foundation should meet the design requirements, and it is usually necessary to reserve anchor bolt holes in the foundation to fix the container.

During the foundation construction process, the flatness and levelness of the foundation should be strictly controlled, and the error should be controlled within the allowable range. Generally, the levelness deviation does not exceed a few millimeters.

3. Equipment transportation and hoisting
Use professional transport vehicles to transport the containerized wastewater treatment plant to the installation site. During transportation, pay attention to protecting the equipment to prevent collision and damage.

Use appropriate lifting equipment, such as a crane, to lift the container onto the foundation. During the lifting process, ensure the stability and safety of the container and operate in strict accordance with the operating procedures.

4. Equipment connection
Connect the inlet and outlet pipes to ensure that the pipes are firmly connected and leak-free. The diameters of the inlet and outlet pipes should meet the requirements of the equipment, and should be reasonably arranged according to the actual situation to avoid bending and blockage of the pipes.

Connect the electrical lines and turn on the power. The connection of the electrical lines should comply with the relevant electrical safety standards to ensure the normal operation of the equipment and the safety of the operators.

5. Commissioning and acceptance
Commission the equipment and check the operating status of the equipment, including all aspects of the sewage treatment process, such as aeration, sedimentation, filtration, etc. During the commissioning process, the operating parameters of the equipment should be adjusted according to the actual situation to ensure that the equipment can achieve the designed treatment effect.

Carry out acceptance, and the acceptance content includes the installation quality, operating status, treatment effect, etc. of the equipment. After the acceptance is qualified, it can be officially put into use.
