The 316 stainless steel wedge wire screen pipe traps the biofilm carrier while allowing the treated wastewater and shed biofilm to flow to the next stage of treatment.
When vertical-mounted flat-panel sieves are used, an air-sparge system should be mounted along the bottom edge of the panels to periodically pulse the sieves and prevent any accumulation of waste.
